Vanessa Hayes

Vanessa Hayes is a Portfolio Manager at State Street, where she leads currency portfolio management and business development for the APAC region, having relocated to Sydney in 2021. With expertise in currency hedging and strategic initiatives, she plays a key role in mitigating financial risks.

Before joining State Street in 2016, Vanessa worked at Geode Capital Management in Boston, overseeing technology integration and research efforts. A strong advocate for women in leadership, she co-chairs the Professional Women’s Network at State Street Australia and serves on the awards committee for Women in Banking and Finance.

Vanessa holds an MBA from Bentley University, as well as MS in Information Technology and BS in Management Information Systems from Worcester polytechnic institute
