About David

Managing Finance and Operations at InCrowd Sports, delivering high-impact content to fans, and high-value engagement to sports businesses such as UEFA, ECB, Premiership Rugby, F1, Aston Villa and Leeds United. Since 2007 I have successfully managed the trade sale exit of 3 VC backed growth technology companies. In July 2013, Opta Sports Data was sold to Perform Group on a 10x EBITDA multiple on 2014 expected results, following a capital raise in 2010 and a first move into profitability in 2011. In June 2010 RFI Global Services was bought by Underwriters Laboratories following a 2 year programme to turnaround and rationalise the RFI business into 3 profitable and growing divisions. Prior to this I managed the sale of Nomad to Metavante for a 5x revenue multiple whilst the company had still to achieve profitability. To enable this to happen, 3 major funding rounds needed to be negotiated whilst moving the company from a traditional software licence based model to a SAAS model. In 2005 I co-founded BlueGlue, a revolutionary recruitment concept for the technology market. This was sold in September 2014 to a US PE backed recruitment company. I started my career in large blue chip FMCG multi-nationals before moving into smaller tech companies where I built experience in IPOs, trade sales, capital raising, overseas business for both UK and US firms.
