Pavel Laletin

Pavel Laletin is a General Partner, Co-founder and COO of TechGrind Incubator and Venture Capital. TechGrind Incubator was the first private technology incubator in the region, and has become the most successful program in the region at creating technology startups. Launched in March 2015 it has received over 1000 applicants with the best 21 startups having being accepted. Pavel also co-founded the Venture Capital and Angel Syndicate arm of TechGrind, where TechGrind Venture Syndicate is also the most active tech angel syndicate in ASEAN.

Before coming to ASEAN to build a technology innovation economy at TechGrind, Pavel was based in Auckland, NZ where he was one of the ecosystem developers of the New Zealand technology startup ecosystem. He is regularly mentoring dozens of founders of mostly web & mobile startups from APAC, Russia and Europe, speaking at events and judging startup pitching competitions.

Back in 2011 Pavel launched a mobile app development and marketing company, Free Life Apps, which produced over 30+ apps, with some titles rising to the Top5 in Apple App Store. As an experienced project and product manager, Pavel has built a vast array of products including specialized apps in e-publishing, games, lifestyle, mobile payments and AR/VR. He has also marketed hundreds of mobile apps for clients, generating millions in organic app downloads through ASO, app store localization and growth hacking. His expertise and connections have also assisted multiple inventors and startup founders worldwide to successfully fund their crowdfunding campaigns and obtain high value coverage via global PR & media channels.

Pavel holds two degrees in IT System Engineering, and General Management, from top-ranked universities in Russia and the UK. Lifelong learner and educator, he was teaching IT students for 4 years since 2006 in Auckland, New Zealand and more recently at Stamford University in Bangkok, Thailand.
