About Kate

Kate is a 25+ year professional whose specialty areas span strategy, growth, operations, corporate advisory, capital raising and governance and compliance.

With an early career spanning public relations and advertising roles in both Australia and the UK, Kate went on to hold senior marketing and communications roles in blue-chips multinationals such as Nike and National Australia Bank.

In the last 8 years, Kate has made her mark working in high growth businesses across the technology start up ecosystem in Australia and the UK as they scale through capital rounds and global expansion. Combining her growth expertise with a formidable emerging talent in corporate advisory and capital management – for which she was a finalise as a Global Rising Star in 2024 in the Woman Changing the World Awards - Kate was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of a private capital partnership in 2022. After working across a broad range of mandates, she founded her own consultancy to focus working primarily with women entrepreneurs on corporate advisory, growth and capital planning and investor readiness.

Kate is an active angel investor with a 15 strong portfolio and a member of several well-known funds and syndicates. She holds a number of Non-Executive Directorships and Board Advisory roles in Australia, Asia and the UK, and mentors on a number of accelerator programs including Techstars, Tech Ready Women and SBE Global.

Her focus currently is on the global expansion of Woman Explore, working through her consultancy with Founders on the commercialisation of their business ideas in addition to a senior role in a venture studio heading up strategy and investments.

Kate is known for her honest, authentic and ‘no apologies’ approach to dedicating her career to create a more equitable playing field for women entrepreneurs. She resides in Sydney with her two children and her highly organised German fiancé. She is known mental health activist, and believes that in working with women entrepreneurs, discussions around welfare are a critical with the societal pressures surrounding the need to often be all things to all people.
