Living across 8 countries and 4 continents, each new home brought a new language, a fresh perspective, and countless opportunities for rediscovery and learning, shaping my approach to life and business. Besides global adventures, I love the rush of making deals happen, especially cross-border ones. My career spans 20 years as a commercial executive and lawyer, blending creativity, strategy, and commercial focus to craft growth strategies for global corporates and scale-ups.

My career can be described as varied and unconventional—some might even say hard to fit into a box (but who wants to be put in a box anyway?). Although I started as a corporate lawyer (very conventional and, let’s face it, somewhat boring), I now realize it was the perfect foundation for what was to come.

After moving to Hong Kong from Amsterdam, the opportunity arose to steer regional offices for global content distributors across the APAC region, tackling markets as diverse as China, Japan, Mongolia, and Pakistan, and working with the world's largest TV franchises such as Big Brother and The Voice. In Australia, I transitioned to leading the push to get Aussies out of cars and onto (e)bikes. Heading e-bike scale-up LEKKER Bikes through Covid, managing hyper-growth and numerous challenges was a very powerful experience. Whether implementing APAC strategies that drive triple-digit sales growth or introducing innovative products to new markets, collaboration has been key to success.

At VL Consulting, I focus on creating impactful partnerships and delivering strategic growth solutions, with a special passion for empowering female founders in the impact space. I firmly believe in the power of connection and storytelling to drive commercial success. My background in M&A and corporate law means I conduct thorough due diligence, identify key pain points quickly, streamline processes and ensure deals get across the finish line efficiently. When the right people come together with great energy and drive, magic happens.

Away from the hustle, you’ll find me at wild early morning spin sessions (the rave-ier, the better), breezing to work on my e-bike, planning my next big trip, or trying out a new foodie tip.
