About Andrew

I am a dynamic, competitive and results oriented executive with 35 years FMCG experience and people leadership, with a demonstrated track record of growing and developing successful businesses across supermarket and liquor retailing, hospitality, and the beverage alcohol industry. I have just completed 12 years of service with Asahi, relaunching the Asahi Super Dry brand in Australia and taking it from outside the Top 10 International Premium Beers to the position of #3 in Australia driving sales across major retailers as well as key on premise stockists through key strategic plans and targeted activations. Additionally, I also launched Somersby Cider into the Australia marketplace, taking it from account presentations to the number 1 Cider brand in Australia in only 3yrs.

Prior to Asahi, I was at Carlton and United Breweries for 10 years in a number of General management roles during which time, the key results achieved were that I was able to turn around the performance and profit contribution of our hospitality business units of Brewhouses and restaurants/cellar doors and then address the poor trading relationship and results within the Coles liquor group for C.U.B.

I was a member of the executive leadership team that floated ALH (Australia’s biggest pub group) on the ASX in 2004 in the role of Retail Liquor Director and my working life commenced when I joined Coles Myer as a Management trainee in 1984, rising to become one of the youngest ever store managers, and then subsequently was promoted into the Tooronga HQ into various Senior National Category, product development and Merchandise roles.
