ApplyThe Position: We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist for SBS Australia to work in our Melbourne office. This role is primarily responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing a wide variety of marketing activities in line with business growth goals and program events. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the delivery of the marketing program, ensuring that our business units are sufficiently and appropriately represented across all channels.
This multi-faceted role will allow you to utilise your diverse marketing skills and ability to analyse, create, design and manage new social media and digital strategies, internal and external communications, and end-to-end campaigns. You must be a structured and organised self-starter with a strong attention to detail, and above all have a passion for marketing. Responsibilities:
The Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for implementing both tactical and strategic parts of the marketing strategy, including the following:
- Create, implement and report on quarterly marketing plans aligned with SBC events and programs.
- Building our social media engagement and community by creating content aligned with our Program themes and brand strategy.
- Managing and communicating with our eco-system via monthly marketing email with relevant content
- Pull together info from various sources to produce engaging, relevant customer facing content for websites, socials media, blogs and other marketing collateral
- Collaborating with internal growth hackers to implement experiments throughout the year to increase reach of SBC brand.
- Responsible for planning, creating, promoting and achieving attendance goals at Startupbootcamp events.
- Building and managing relationships with media and press
- Executing marketing during the scouting period by working with various global venues and written publications to promote FastTrack events
- Assisting with operations during large-scale events, such as coordinating photographers, videographers, journalists, and press.
- Tracking and measuring metrics to support digital marketing efforts
- Working with and managing marketing and communications interns to achieve business goals and facilitate their professional development.
- Overseeing website content to accurately reflect activity occurring within the business.
- Managing the CRM, Hubspot.
Key Skills Required:
- Passion for Marketing, a creative thinker, Social media enthusiast
- Confidently present new ideas covering all basis of design, implementation, effectiveness and budget
- Managing and building online communities.
- Educated in Business Marketing
- 3-5 years marketing experience
- Automotive experience is preferred, but not essential
- Understanding of the entire marketing mix including digital
- Experience in utilising CRM’s, and best practise.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop (or similar)
