With the launch of our 2022 Sports and EventTech program this week, we are excited to begin weekly introductions to this year’s cohort and their goals for the SBC growth accelerator process.
First up we are introducing Treiner! Treiner is a recruitment platform for coaches and trainers. We met with one of Treiner’s founders, James Muir, to learn about the motivation behind Treiner’s platform and what they hope to accomplish through this year’s Sports and EventTech program.
The founders of Treiner recognize that the industry for recruiting coaches is plagued by a high turnover rate. James explained this is often due to a misalignment of goals and a poor cultural fit between coaches and organisations.
Treiner addresses these issues by enabling coaches and organisations to be matched by an AI machine-learning algorithm based on shared philosophies, goals, and culture. This means coaches are more likely to stay with the organisation, decreasing the high turnover rate found in the industry. Treiner also makes posting jobs easier, especially for large organisations. Rather than posting about jobs individually, Treiner allows organisations to post numerous job openings at once with small edits between postings based on the needs of the organisation. They also provide templates to aid in the job posting process.
The founders of Treiner were drawn to Startupbootcamp because of the wide range of mentors. Post-program, the founders of Treiner hope to launch their program live with many national sporting organisations. They are excited to meet with mentors who can help them reach this goal.
