About Prot Foods
The problem we're solving:
When we first started with a singular focus on the technological challenges that needs to be solved with emerging food technologies for development of clean label plant-based seafood alternatives. As we observed the very thin TAM over the period of commercial interactions and realized that the protein gap in Asia is real, but needs a more inclusive vision, solution and commercial approach, we expanded our mission statement to cater to protein needs of consumers with high protein snack productsOur solution:
With this evolved mission and expanded commercial experiences, we have a line-up of high protein snack foods products across convenience food category, Frozen savory foods category and plant-based meat category. All of these products are developed on a clean-label platform, with only 7-8 ingredient.
Alongside all the readily commercialized segments mentioned above, we are developing a new plant-protein derived texture that will be used for high protein on-the-go snack segment.
Our differentiator:
We leverage innovation and commercial expertise in foodtech and commercialization with strong in-house R&D capabilities and global traction in foodtech ecosystem developing robust partnerships for technology scale-up and commercialization channels.
Products developed from advanced protein extracts, algal derivatives, plant fibers, and natural flavorings Made with only 7 base ingredients, free from synthetic additives
Developed India’s first plant-based seafood range.
Our biggest achievement:
We have been one of the Top 8 companies globally to develop a technology for fish like textures from plant proteins on XPRIZE Feed the next billion competition which attracted some of the tritely advanced companies in this space globally.
We have also been one of the Top 5 companies to make corporates like Nestle interested in our technology for plant-based seafood through Masschallenge Switzerland's SFS challenge.
