About Corbiota

The problem we're solving:

Industrial animal Farming is under pressure. Not only because of behavioural changes but also caused by financial and environmental issues, impact of diseases and last but not least the high amount of medication given to livestock The widespread usage of antibiotics in livestock relates to a value of around 15 billion Euro globally. Antibiotic resistance is dramatically increasing. Productivity still overrules welfare and the needed high performance does not support any change.

Our solution:

Corbiota wants to redefine industrial animal nutrition by introducing a natural solution backed by science. Corbiota feed special live worms to young animals just once right at the beginning of the rearing period to transfer complex microbiota. When administered to young animals such as chicks but also piglets they enable optimal health and growth. Specifically they support the eubiosis, the natural balance of microorganisms in the gut.

Our differentiator:

Corbiota's competition is state of the art treatment and fattening. There are no solutions to strengthen immune system with natural products just at the beginning - the only possibility would be a difference in husbandry level and some additives which have to be given through the whole breeding period without real proven results. Corbiota do have more than 10 studies with great results and 7 patents.

Our biggest achievement:

Official governmental funding for Corbiota's production sites and getting into EU Programs with a solution for livestock, while the strong focus of European governments is more on alternative proteins. In addition Corbiota recently kicked off our business in the US and Brazil. Corbiota is the winner of the Agrifood´ture challenge in France as well and are part of "Supernova EIT" for female led companies
