The problem we're solving:

The problem Ajé addresses is the widespread fraud and lack of trust in social commerce transactions. Buyers and sellers on existing platforms often face scams, insecure payments, and unresolved disputes. This lack of transparency and security erodes consumer confidence, making it difficult for individuals, especially within emerging markets, to engage in safe online transactions. Existing platforms do not offer integrated solutions to guarantee the protection and fairness of transactions.

Our solution:

Ajé provides a blockchain-powered escrow service that guarantees secure, transparent transactions between buyers and sellers in social commerce. Funds are held in escrow until both parties meet the agreed terms, reducing fraud risk. The platform also offers dispute resolution and supports multi-currency payments, creating a safe environment for online transactions. This solution is tailored for emerging markets, especially the transnational, where trust in online commerce is vital.

Our differentiator:

Ajé stands out with its blockchain-powered escrow system, ensuring secure, transparent transactions in social commerce. Unlike traditional e-commerce or social platforms, Ajé offers a dedicated social marketplace with built-in escrow, dispute resolution, and multi-currency support. This combination creates a safer, more reliable environment for online transactions, specifically targeting emerging markets and the transnational economy.

Our biggest achievement:

Ajé's biggest achievement to date is reaching over 4,500 users across Nigeria and Turkey, with an 8 daily user growth rate. The platform has facilitated about 400 trades in the past quarter and successfully resolved all 22 disputes, highlighting the effectiveness of our blockchain-powered escrow system. Additionally, we are proud to have been accepted into the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and Nvidia Inception Program, and to be among the top 10 in ALX’s "Do Hard Things Challenge."
