About Startupbootcamp

Accelerating Food and Agri Innovation toward a Sustainable World

We are a global family of industry-focused programs that support early to growth stage food, aqua, and agritech founders to rapidly scale their companies.

We provide direct access to an international network of the most relevant mentors, corporate partners, and investors.

For our FoodTech Tasmania 2024 cohort, we are looking for startups with innovative technology, products, services or disruptive business models that solve problems or have solutions for the Food, Aqua, and AgriTech sectors.

All our programs align to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With this year’s program, we are continuing our focus on the Circular Economy, adding value to Australia’s animal and horticultural produce as functional foods or ingredients, and finding innovative technologies to improve the efficiency and sustainability of our current food processing, labour, and supply chain systems.

We are looking for startups with technology to increase production efficiencies and decrease carbon emissions. We strive to help startups who can reduce, repurpose and reuse everything from Farm, to Factory, to Fork, from wholesale to retail including:

  • Circular Economy
  • FermentationTech
  • Functional Food and Ingredient Tech
  • Food, Aqua, and AgriTech advances such as mechanisation, robotics, quality tech, shelf-life and freshness technologies, production efficiencies
  • Processing, Labour & Supply Chain

    Startups are assessed on readiness and fit with the program.

    Selection Days

    20 Startups pitch to our mentor network and 10 startups are selected for the program.

    Program Starts

    Startups begin their 3-month program to accelerate and scale their business.

  • 14th November 2024

    Demo Day

    We host a celebration and pitch day for startups to a big crowd of corporate partners, investors and industry participants.

Learn how to accelerate your business with industry-leading best practices

During our intense 3-month accelerator program, selected startups receive hands-on mentorship from over 100 industry experts, seed funding and access to a global and local network of investors with the ultimate goal of scaling their businesses and becoming industry-leading companies.

The program is structured around three focus areas: making you Pitch Ready, Commercially Ready, and Investment Ready. This is true whether you’re a company who has just finished your MVP or already scaling across multiple markets.

But each startup and their journey is different. So we tailor the program to you and your needs, helping you to create achievable goals throughout the three months
